The extensions to the legs ready to turn the bed into a 4 poster

This started as a normal double bed with 4 inch diameter legs.  I designed it so that eventually it would be turned into a 4 poster as you will see in the photos below.

The legs were turned on a lathe that I made myself using an electric motor from a Sinclair C5 car to power it.
